We’re super excited that Oggy E-Scooters, a Sunshine Coast based, family run business, now has a hub in Coolum Beach! Located at Arcade Box, 1794 David Low Way, Coolum Beach.
Oggy is changing the way we commute over short to medium distances. Their focus is on more efficient, cost effective and sustainable travel, which in turn aims to decrease traffic congestion, parking issues and pollution. A few things to know about Oggy E-scooters:
- You must be 21 years or older to have an Oggy account. An adult rider may unlock up to four scooters at once. They can unlock for children; children need to be 12 or older.
- Rather than randomly dumping the scooter when you’re finished, Oggy e-scooters must be returned to one of their hubs.
- Safety is paramount so riding is only available in daylight hours.
- The maximum speed the scooter can go is 25km/hr but on pathways it’s 12km/hr and in some areas such as near playgrounds, resorts etc its 6km/hr.
- It costs $1 to unlock an Oggy e-scooter and then 30c/min to ride and 7c/min on pause.
